Closed Loop Treatment

Closed loop systems refer to heating or cooling systems that are typically not open to the atmosphere, so there is no evaporation and the entire volume of water is recirculated. Chilled water systems, used for comfort or process cooling, typically interact with an open cooling system through a chiller or other heat exchanger.
